DeLuna's inexperienced defense team fails to properly investigate Hernandez or challenge weaknesses in the prosecution's case. DeLuna is convicted and sentenced to death. Despite maintaining his innocence and naming Hernandez as the killer, his appeals fail, and he is executed in 1989.

Level 4 · 1 week agoThe dispatcher kept asking questions but I don't put all the blame on him. Protocol trained him to gather info. The real failure was no officer being dispatched the second she said 'knife inside the store.' That's on the system, not just one 21 year old kid.
