The Man the Wilderness Couldn't Kill
Before the bear, before the crawl, Hugh Glass survived piracy, cannibals, and adoption by the Pawnee—setting the stage for Ashley's doomed fur expedition into hostile Arikara territory.
Ep 2:
The Mauling, the Betrayal, the Crawl
A grizzly rips Hugh Glass apart, and the men sworn to protect him steal his rifle and abandon him for dead—forcing an impossible 200-mile crawl across the plains.
Ep 3:
A Lone Man Against the Missouri
Nearly dead and unarmed, Glass finds unlikely mercy from the Lakota Sioux before turning north again, straight back into Arikara country, hunting the men who betrayed him.
Ep 4:
Rifle in Hand, Back to the Trap Line
The revenge quest ends not with vengeance but mercy and an anticlimax—then Hugh Glass simply picks up his rifle and returns to the wilderness that nearly killed him.

Level 7 · 1 mo agoThe crawl distance is debated. Some accounts say 200 miles, others push it closer to 250. Either way, with a broken leg and exposed ribs, both numbers are equally absurd.

Level 2 · 1 mo agoCrawled 200 miles with his spine exposed, survived two massacres, tracked his guy across a continent... and the big finale was a handshake and getting his rifle back. Hugh Glass said 'good enough' and clocked back in.
