Level 9 · 8 mo agoThe entrapment defense failed because the videos showed eagerness. Courts consistently upheld these convictions. You can't claim you were tricked when you are stuffing pockets with cash on camera.

Level 9 · 8 mo agoYeah I checked the records and Williams actually was the first Senator jailed in 80 years. Last one was Burton in 1906. Crazy that it took them nearly a century to finally nail one of these guys.
